I have a 1943 War penny in very good condition. It does stick to a magnet and passed all the other tests. How much is it worth?

They sell for about 5 cents for circulated examples.

Not much...even in Mint State grades with nice luster, you are looking at nothing more than $5 to $8 dollars. Why? They made a bunch of them and are quite available:

684,628,670 were minted and many were kept in "sock drawers" because they were steel instead of copper!

Value of a 1943 Steel Cent

There are many opinions in this area. It was real difficult to keep these coins in pristine condition. When corrsion began the coins would develope little white milky looking spots. When the surface broke they would rust.

The majority of these cents are Problem versions. So when you do come across a real nice example, flawless, it can go for as high as $20.00. I have paid more than that for these coins.

I always recommend that when you get a piece with a nice eye appeal, regardless of wear, keep it..! squrriel it away in your collection for a rauny day.

The one you have is worth about 5 cents US. But remember, at one time the 1794 half dime was only worth 5 cents also.
