Well the last time that I posted I said to stay tuned for more cool finds . And as luck would have it . I think that I may have just stumbled across my very first Doubled die steel penny . But first I'll allow the sharp eyes in the group to tell me if you see what it is that I see since it seems a little hard to miss to me
I'm still getting my feet wet with really nailing machine versus doubled die, but this looks like it may be machine doubling. Id get a couple more opinions on it before being sure though. That's pretty good Rick . So do you happen to know which class of doubled die the one i have is in ? On mines the doubling that is shown on the 1943 and on the letter E is much stronger and more clear so I think mines is a different class
