    Has anyone else seen doubling like this on a 43 steelie? 20181117_132205.jpg 20181117_132408.jpg 20181117_132247.jpg 20181117_132223.jpg 20181117_131846.jpg 20181117_131852.jpg 20181117_131857.jpg 20181117_131902.jpg

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

All I can see is a reprocessed '43 S penny.

When a Steel Cent is reprocessed you will have that effect. It is not a Doubled Die.

Yep - a reprocessed/plated Steel cent will make the devices appear wider.

Your coin is way to shiny to be an original mint surface. Most 1943 steel cents with mint Finnish will have a slight blueish tint to them. And some of the Denver coins can have a Steelier Gray Finnish.
