Can anyone help me in identifying this error to find out whether or not it is an actual double die error or if it occured after striking. I've seen the error in the three in other coins listed as a double die error but i've never seen the error in the E in liberty before. Any and all comments, remarks or opinions are more than welcome and very much apprieciated. Also any suggestions on value?[IMG]

Unfortunately, your image did not post. It needs to be 100K or less, or you can post it in the gallery and let us know :)

It looks like post mint damage to me. The E got hit with something that displaced the metal.

The 1943-S DDO is a classic double die, with the doubling being prominent on the motto(In God We trust) also some exhibit doubling on the date as well.

From the pics of your coin, the Liberty appears to be post mint damage to me, and the pic of the motto is to small to Identify it as a true DDO .
