1943 s steel Lincoln cent

    Ladies and gentlemen I'm going to take a stab at this and say this is an s over d in the mint mark.     expat Remember you are unique, just like everyone else Supporter

    IMO it was either a damaged punch or a plating issue of the zinc coating over the steel. I cant find any examples of a 1943 OMM

    I'm in camp of plating issue but sure looks cool like a S over D Ebayer! lol

    Many anomalies including nicks, marks, and gouges on 1943 steel cents. You got a strange one there. Seal it, show it, and enjoy it. Thanks for sharing!
