I had this one soaking in a home brew since monday and cleaned it tonight. Thought I might post it ...

Sorry, just a lot of machine doubling...No repunched mint mark on this one. Look at the 9, 4 and 3.

    Thanks,
    Bill

    Washing suggestions?

I have about ten of these and all are in pristine condition. No scratches no dents, no rim damage and the obverses are as nice as this one on most of them but, on 7 of them the reverse has a dark layer of thin corrorsion. Any suggestions what to use to try to clean it? Does the little dark corrosion effect it's grading if the coin itself is in pristine condition and the obverse is spotless?

Lincolnhoarder- you are probably correct about the MD on it but my question is how is there machine doubling in two different directions on the mint mark?

It looks like The coin's obverse was replated and the process used gives the effect of the mint mark being doubled in both directions. It looks like the reverse was left alone.

I am only going by the images here.
