Hello, I got this coin 21 years ago along with a bunch of other uncirculated steelies I think it has a few errors there seems to be doubling on the date and mint mark on the back a piece of the wheat is gone and the bottom Edge is dented and this is an uncirculated coin, it may be one of a kind tell me what you think , thanks
@paddyman98 What is that on the reverse? A lamination issue? When I first looked at this coin I thought it might be one of those plated (processed) coins photographed in low light. It is not one of those, right?
As far as I know this is a real uncirculated 1943 s penny I ordered this out of a magazine many years ago with a bag full of other 1943 steel pennies all were ordered as uncirculated this is the only one with these marks maybe it is dirt that is in that piece that is missing I do not want to try to dig it out and destroy the coin
It looks original but photos can be deceiving. The reverse looks like a detached lamination error on the right wheat stalk.
I also see the doubling but it's from a worn die. No extra value. The lamination could bring a few extra dollars.
