I bought some 90% coins off the bay a month or two ago. I'm pretty sure it is, but I wanted to ask your opinions! I know it's pretty worn, but I was also wondering, if it is actually a DDO, what it might be worth. I mainly see it in 'TRUST' and some in the date, specifically the top rigth corner of the 1.
I do believe you have a 1943 DDO. I had one in similar shape and accidentally sold it as melt. Didn't remember to label it DDO Here's some of my handy dandy photo editing (AKA Paint) on your pictures Edit: Forgot to add fancy notings: Notice the defined separation shown very well in the 4 of the date. Split serifs those are. Very cool cherrypick! :hail:
Thanks for your sweet photo editing caz! The pic was a little fuzzy on ebay when I was looking at it, not a bad buy at melt if I say so myself. Sorry to hear that you accidently sold yours at melt! Wouldn't it be funny if I had actually bought this one from you? :foot-mouth:
Yeah, I was going to an auction to get some coins, and learned what a few other members learned about them (I don't wanna take part in any) I needed money so I sold some silver to a friend who was with me. I then proceeded to walk out with one item (1969 Bahamas $5 silver coin for $20 (not bad for 1.253 troy oz of silver)) But I then realized I lost mine, called my friend and he said he sold it to the shop at melt I was sad to see it go, but I hope to encounter one in the future. Going to keep my eye on the junk bins.
