I picked up these two at a small town coin & jewelry shop while out and about Saturday afternoon. They were in a tub of items yet to be sorted and I asked the owner if I could take a look at them. The P caught my eye immediately as there was a definite RPM going on with it. The D has a couple of nice die cracks going through Jefferson's head and face. I looked them up on Wexlers and from what I matched up to the markers, the P is an WRPM-026 and the D looks to be a WDDR-003. Total spent... $8.00
Just about every war nickel minted is some sort of variety. The 1943 P has over 75 rpm alone plus doubled die varieties, and a over date.
