I posted a thread about this find about a month ago and wasn't able to post pictures. here they are: The color of the coin is different on the obverse and reverse only because the reverse picture was taken inside and the obverse outside.
Maybe he didn't know it was a war nickel? They have some silver content and are worth more than normal nickels. ;-) Not everyone on here in an expert -- I'm definitely not!
My bad. I re-read my post and I guess I came off rude. That wasn't the intent at all. I was just curious if there was something I was supposed to be looking for.
