1943 nickel. What’s happening here?

    The pics you provided are way to grainy but it looks like you have a common lamination error. The silver war nickels are pretty prone to these.

    What are you trying to show? The obverse has a black spot on the rim under the bust that looks like damage (environmental??).

    The magnified pics look like they could be from the reverse over the dome and that could be a lamination

    Welcome to CT. It is helpful to have a full picture of the obverse and reverse and then a close up of any area in question with a clear question about what you are asking. Your closeups appear to be the reverse of the coin but they aren't clear enough to tell what we are looking at. With that being said, and the limited view and information, I'd say it's just PMD (post mint damage), after having been around for 75 years.
