1943 Mercury Dime: Decent Condition?

    Came across this in a box of coins I purchased at a flea market. Seems like a pretty good find in my opinion..AU or MS?

    au55? that's my guess, new to grading mercury dimes so I am probably off.

    It almost looks like some doubling on the date?

    How much did you pay for it? Hopefully not much over melt. I would guess the grade to be around AU50-55 however I am not a dime expert so I could be off

    Appears to be machine doubling damage. Common for this series in the 40s.

    Posssible a die break/die indent, from between a an t of states on reverse. Nice coin, I would keep it.

    nice find au 53 dont attempt to clean it use a cotton swab recheck the date theres doubling there

    Melt only? Even with FB? Seems unlikely, but ok.

    However, your coin does not have FB.

    Again, worth melt.

    My 2cents

    :confused:2nd photo there a trace of wear on middle band Au-58 but still a very nice Mercury:thumb:
