My Dad left me a box of 1943 Zinc-Coated Steel Cents. I have 143 1943 (P), 44 1943 D, and only 4 1943 S. Due to the sentimental Value of the coins, I won't part with them. Most of them are about AU, but I'm not sure. I'm sure that there are members that would part with one if asked. Anyway, what happened to your coin. It looks like it was put in a vat of acid. So I did the Evaporust experiment myself. Not the best results. I know the environmental damage on the buff isn't rust but I figured I'd include it for fun. This was after a week or so in Evaporust. Before: After:
