Hey guys. This isn't my coin, just trying to help a guy out. I am trying to figure out if you guys think this might be ddo. I couldn't find a match but I still think it's ddo. I have a hard time spotting ddo on wheat pennies. Some of the ddo wheaties get me scratching my head. Can't take any better pics because it's someone here. Here is what I noticed. Your left side of the one, the 9 looks thicker, the 4 looks split(could be damaged but wanted second opinion) the bottom of the mint mark has something sticking out (maybe rpm at least?) the L in liberty, and the B in liberty. Maybe even the E too (bottom) Thanks for the help guys and gals.
I think you are seeing a combination of coating issues and wear, but then again, what do I know. Let's see the consensus.
