    Allright I think I have bold doubling on the mintmark of this 1943 steel penny. The coin is in great condition and only has a little nick on the face... all of the details are clear and it is not worn down. This particular coin has been in a trunk since before 1960 untill recently when I got it from my grandparents and put it in a 2x2. I will have pictures as soon as I can figure out how to get enough detail to show the doubling, but if it is as I think it is what do you think it would be worth?

    Redbook lists it at:

    F12 = $6
    VF20 = $12
    EF40 = $20

    Howdy CoinDude - Welcome to the Forum !!

    There are at least 20 different varieties for the '43 D/D - value would depend on which one it is. Good pics are a must to figure it out.

    Well hey thanks! Its good to be here! I looked at that picture and mine has more defined doubling although I have seen some that is more pronounced than mine on other coins. I tried taking pictures with my digital camera but it has decided to be stupid and blur them all so I dont have any good pics, does anyone have suggestions on how I can take better pics?
