    Happy New Year!
Is this an RPM? I can't match up markers on Wexler's or on Variety examples.

    Thanks again

I guess I should not have waited 30+ years to really look at oddities that seemed different but just stored in closet so I would have a hobby after retirement...lol
    Thank you

The position of the mm seems to limit the possibilities. Die stage may play a factor here. Have you explored RPM 021?

I'm not into those rpm's and varieties but the coin looks nice and there is a reverse die crack.

Thanks everyone...I'm just confused by the MD/DD from the die strike and how MM shows DD being hand struck?..lol

All devices will eventually washout and make them less distinct/sharp. Even hand punched mintmarks. Also keep in mind that some dates have unattributed RPMs, so when you can't align one with what is published, it may be time. If you note in Wexler's listings, and true of other listing sites, there are discovered/attributed RPMs that they haven't a photograph for. Your coin could be one of those too. Sometimes though, it's just a lot of work to figure out which one you have. The time needed to figure it out might be a problem. I generally toss those into a container labeled TBD RPMs. For when I retire...maybe.

I really don't see anything on the mm to indicate it was a D/D.
    Just a old '43 :) Jim
