    Hey all!

Just got back from the Dupo Coin Club show in Collinsville, IL. Picked up a couple varieties and a couple nice Jefferson Nickels...thought I'd share them with you:

    1942 Walking Liberty Half Dollar DDR-001 (FS-801)
(Got this for AU price ($27.) From Variety Vista "Very strong spread on HALF DOLLAR, and strong spread on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, olive branch, and lower eagle." Definitely had a "don't get too excited until it's in your pocket" moment! Also had a, "Is everyone here blind?" moment when I tried to show it to a couple friends and they didn't see any doubling. Really?)

1959 Franklin Half Dollar Type 2 Reverse
(Already have a few of these, both 1958 and 1959, as well as the 1959 DDR, but I thought this one was pretty decent for $11, and it really helped my 1942 DDR not be the only coin I picked out...)

I love them both. Nice variety on the Walker and looks like booming luster on the Frankie!

I've been looking to cherrypick this one (as well as the 1946 DDR) for a while now...so I am still super excited...especially with the detail this one has.

Are you sure it is AU? I wouldn't mind that coin in a mint state holder.

Haha, okay, so I know I said I did NOT think my 1897 Barber Quarter was circulated (most didn't agree) but I think this one is an AU58. There is a break in the luster along the vertical axis of Lady Liberty as well as a break on the eagle's feathers on the reverse. I'd LOVE it in an MS holder as well...but I just don't think it would make it. I sure loved it for AU price!

Beautiful coins and great picks. You did well; I wish I had the knowledge/eye for picking at shows. I also wish there were more shows near me and I had the $$ to go shopping...

SHOOT...I was so excited about these coins that I completely forgot my final purchase of the day:

    1970 S/S (MS) Lincoln Cent RPM-001
(my 5th one, maybe the highest grade)

Wow--that 42 Walker DDR is a real score for just $27.
