1942 P Jefferson Nickel with “clipped planchet”

    I just wanted to share this 1942 wartime nickel with a “clipped planchet” that I came across. Please tell me what you think. Sorry I’m advance for the pics, I was using my phone. TIA, Mark

    That doesn't look like a clip, not even a small worn one. It's looks like Damage to me. As in someone filed a small area in order to remove some silver.

    I appreciate the input but I have to disagree. I do not think there is and damage. I will try to post some different/better pictures.

    I will try to tonight when I get in, I do not have the coin on me. However, I just posted an interesting coin from my gallery of photos I took the other day. I would like to hear what you think about it. I’m not sure what to think. It’s a 1942 Jefferson w/o MM and vertical line beginning at the L in LIBERTY. TKS, Mark.
