Jessash, Man you are on a run! Congrats! What you have is a Late Die Stage FS-25-1942D-101 (015) or Coneca 1-O-1 .... There should also be doubling on IN GOD WE TRUST as well. Those are some really large Split Serifs. Frank
No Doubt about it being a DDO but I can't price it. It's a nice DDO but the later die stage as well as the wear makes it tough to attach a number to it as far as a dollar amount. Still, I wish I had it
That's where your wrong my friend. It can be yours. Just send me a message if you or anybody is interested. I am poor(but not dumb) and willing to listen.
I would have to go back and check out my' Cherrypicker's Guide! It seems that the Variety is fairly valuable...especially in MS grades, however, the prices CPG do not reflect the current coin market! Without seeing the Reverse on your' coin, any speculation as to it's grade would be a guess but based on the Obverse, I would venture that it is at least VF-25! Frank
Nice find. I like the strong spread on this one. This is one of the most popular Washington quarter varieties.
My uncle is a junk collector/building super. He had a huge bag of coins he had accumulated over the past 30 years of doing it. I was pretty cool to see what he had. 77-old quarters-1932-1959 26 -Walking Half dollars 5-Peace Dollars( One of them is a 1926 with the IGWT that had been adjusted so "GOD" was standing out due to the Scopes monkey trial) 110-dimes(mercury and Roose's) 75 Whaet pennies. So, he sold most of the regular ones and had some DD's in there I am trying to sell for him. This is the most valuable of the lot.
