1942 D/Horizontal D Jefferson~

Not my strong point folks so looking for input.
I picked this up at work today in a package deal. Good price no matter what. Looked it up in Cherrypicker's briefly at work. Can't find my home edition so asking those that may know.

Could this be a D over Horizontal D. Looks like it may to me but like I said not really my strong point.

does this look like it is really a D/S? For whatever reason that mint mark underneath looks like it has a serif and could be a S hiding underneath. Anyone else have that thought?

 

I still think it's a D/D mint mark the image to the left has a D look the roundness of the other D more then an S would.

Here's theD/S variety see the serif on the top more distinct so it's not
