1941S LWC - Grease Filled T

Here's a fun one: IN GOD WE TRUS - I'm thinking this is a grease filled die and not simple wear. Especially since the S looks comparatively untouched.

Wrong T for RUST, though. Wrong coin too...

I am a God fearing man..... But I hope that one day I can fine an "In God We Rust" cent one day. I think they are funny and God told me it was OK to laugh.

 

Can you take a better closeup of the mint mark? Or just check for yourself at 1941-S RPMs (varietyvista.com) Think you could have a RPM but not positive!

A very nice greaser. Grease had made a number of great errors.

 

Hmm, I checked the site but honestly, I'm not quite sure what to look for. Here's a closeup, though.

 

Always fun to find coins like these, but finding one 80 years old is mind blowing.

 

Well, I'm kind of cheating since I'm looking through rolls of purchased wheats trying to fill my album. Heh, better chance than pocket change.

I agree it is fun to find, though! It's surprising how many errors people leave in these rolls - I guess they don't find them that interesting.

 

After looking at the closeup, I don't think it is a RPM! Sorry, didn't mean to get your hopes up. It is still a nice greaser!!!
