I wouldn't call it rare necessarily, but that is a particularly nice one.

I agree that that's a nice coin! Walking Liberty Half Dollars are a pretty popular series among collectors (or at least that's how I perceive it). It also looks like it's a pretty valuable coin too! Check out this link to find old auction results for other MS66 1941-S halves: <http://www.pcgs.com/auctionprices/details.aspx?r=6613&v=&dv=1941-s&pf=ms&c=733&g=0>

Lots of folks like to put together a short set of 1941-47 Walking Liberties. Yours is a nice one.

Wow if you bought that raw & submitted it I'd love to know what you paid.:)
Anyway looks a little weak in the obverse center, (not trying to be a downer) but still a really good looking walker.

  13. I inherited it and got it graded!

Is it a rare coin? No. 1941-s half dollars are common. Is it rare in THIS condition?
    Yes absolutely.

It appears it was recently graded as well which is unusual.

    I would say around a $900-$1050 coin.

That is quite a nice Walker. S mm Walkers are especially notorious for weak strike.
    Coincidentally, I just bid and won a 65 '41S 2 days ago...just over 8M mintage.
