Hi everyone, looking for your opinions and expertise on this dime I found in my collection from 30 years ago. What grade would you give it and is it the small or large S?

    Thank you very much!

I would guess large, since that looks HUGE. Maybe check to see if the mark was added.

Full lines on the back. Consider getting it graded.

Looks to be a small S. Coin lacks luster, I'm guessing that's because you scanned it. Probably not worth grading.

I change my response to small S. Even though it looks large, it's not a trumpet tail.

Probably more along the lines of an AU example, it does have the full splits on the banding.

By and by, here is an example of the Large S variety.

If you are looking for identifying characteristics, the large S has only a downward tail on the upper serif of the S. Large has both an upward and lower. I will try to take pictures of mine come this weekend.
