I am attempting to determine an exact number of reverse dies on the 1941-S nickel that were struck w/the large S MM. To date I can confirm 6. Further if any one has any info on the number of coins struck per die in SF in 1941, I would dearly like that info. Since it is very difficult to locate EDS specimens, of this date does any one Know if these were hand me down dies from or leftovers from 1940? If any one has pictures of reverse dies form 1941-S large S nickels, I would dearly appreciete if you would share them w/me. Ihave pics if any one is interested and would be glad to share w/ anyone. The quarter thus far seems to be scarcer than the nickel but its still early in my endeavor. Is Variety Nickels going to get up again? Thank you for your time.

    HI ENKI
In Bernard Nagengast book "THE JEFFERSON NICKEL ANALYST on page47 he says that there were less than 10 dies used. And that the large s mint mark was used in later production And that most have a very weak strike. I Hope someone can give you more info I will keep looking in my books.
