    Hi, @Nolan Workman .
At first I thought that was a cud, but I'm going to say it is maybe extra metal because there is room between it and the rim. Just my opinion - I could be wrong.

Nolan look up cuds on coins. Mike diamond and others have lots of reference material on that site. It looks like an interior die break, but the. Racks going to the rim from each side. Could be something more interesting.

Thanks for the comments, I sent the pics to Cuds On Coins and Mr. Stevens called it a rim burr, seems either a lamination is folded over and struck or when the planchet is pushed into the retaining collar, a burr happens and is folded over and struck. Thanks for the looks.

If that is true then where is the missing metal from the die? I don't see this as struck.

I'm guessing here, but it looks like the metal came from the area above it as it looks like a hole left behind and because it appears to be attached at both ends. I don't believe it is the product of the die but extra metal generated from the rim and folded over.

It also has the look of a die crack, with excessive damage that has found it's way to the perimeter of the coin, I am just not seeing his conclusion, and probably best seen in hand, maybe I am not reading your photos correctly.
