Helo, Awhile ago I purchased a lot of foreighn coins and was putting them in 2X2s today and noticed this one had a rotated die. Just wondering if this helps the value much or not and if so what would you think it was worth. Thanks, fastfun1111
Are you sure that's a rotated die? To me,you've put it in the holder wrongly,as the harp is supposed to point up & down with the date on the right hand side. That is a .750 fine silver 1 Shilling from Ireland.I have got one of those. The 1942 one is a bit of a hard one to find.I have all those silver 1/- coins from 1939-42,as Irish coins are very popular with British Commonwealth coin collectors. Aidan.
It may not be rotated. I am not much on foreighn coins. Thanks for the info. I will just sell it as a normal one then.
imo, it looks like it's rotated, by looking at the staples in p1 and p2, p2 shows the holder being flipped over to the right for the next shot. John
This look the standard issue to me. I've placed them together, so that it's easier to see. Regards, Jos
