Here I have a 1941 S I believe is the Large date. t has doubling of 3/4 of letters and numbers with an oddity on T in trust, I on IN and S in trust. Anyone tell me what it is and if its worth anything other than 5 cents?
Just a large "S" is all The extra metal next to the "T" is a die break the doubling is die erosion or fatigue very common on nickels because the hardness of the metal reeks havoc with die steel.
I've never heard of a Large Date on these coins---now the Large S is another story. Do you have a good clear shot of the mintmark? Speedy
