Sorry for the terrible pic it's the best I can do. What do you think? I apologize for it being sideways I can't seem to keep it rotated.
The slight tilt of the S is what makes me think it is because the inverted S will hav a slight tilt look.
Hmmm, I'm not familiar with the inverted S for this date. I know there is a large S variety. Is the invert applying to only the small S MM?
:smileJust take your time and post a good photo. I don't think anyone in a big rush all I think is they want a photo they can say Yes or No:yes:
Sorry for the pics again guys i have tremors in my hands so getting a good pic is hard. and the cherry on top to tremors is my cameras macro setting sucks.
It definitely looks more obvious in this recent set of photos. You can plainly see the larger serif on the top loop of the S. Nice variety, I wonder if Fivas/Stanton has attributed this yet as I don't recall seeing this in the CPG.
Sorry to say even blowing these pictures up I still can't say for sure if it is an FS-05-1941S-503 I'm leaning more towards the small S M/M but again the pictures are not clear enough to make a call.
I know the Large S attribution is in there Paddy. I think what the OP was gunning for was an inverted MM variety. Which isn't listed in there. I have several Large S Jeffersons that I've picked over the last year, but haven't seen an inverted. If only the OP can get real close to the MM, tough to do without a microscope or a 20x glass affixed to a point and shoot on macro setting.
yes the inverted S is in the guide page 307 5th ed vol 1 1941s inverted mm bottom of the page in the CPG 4th ed vol 1 page 308 top of page
Check out this post. http://www.cointalk.com/t219794/#post1603287 Sometimes we can find our answers by looking to previous similar threads on the same topic. I found a few down at the bottom of this page started by gunnovice09 .... odd, same thread starter as before?
Ok after blowing the area up as far as I can with out any distortion I will say yes it's a 1941 S Inverted MM I have an 1941 inverted S slabed let me find it and scope it and post in a few days
after further reveiw.... Yay! :thumb: :hail: :high5: :jumping-jack:  Congrats! I am not sure but I don't think I have one of those yet.
