Are these two an example or variation of the 1941 DDO Washington quarter? The 4 seems to be doubled near the bottom portion. Wexler doesn't have much on Washington quarters. NGC has a similar example: http://www.ngccoin.com/coin-varieties/washington-quarters/1941-ddo-25c-fs-102-2207/ Are they the same as the NGC one? And, any idea on value for a high AU or MS60 example? Thanks in advance!
It's hard to tell from these pics. In the NGC reference pic, In God We Trust is doubled clearly an the 9 in the date shows clear doubling as well. I'd want to see better pics and the IGWT devices as well. Here's CONECA's master listings for 1941Wasjingto DDOs http://varietyvista.com/Variety Master Listings/washington doubled dies 1941.htm
Here are some more pics to go with the 1941 date pics, respectively. There appears to be doubling in the O and D in GOD, but I'm not sure if that's just doubling caused by the screw press process, or if it's actually on the die itself.
