Hey guys i went to bank today bought up all the rolls of nickels that they would sell me and found rolls of 1941 D nickels in BU + condition full steps.I will do the post in two parts.
Wow, I imagine somebody had been saving them all these years & needed some cash for Christmas. :thumb: Maybe next week you will get 1950-D rolls
I'm half way through the box and i found another roll of liberty head nickels with a XF 1883 coin.I am going back to that bank on Monday and get the rest of those coins that were held for reserve reasons.
You might want to have some rolls waiting in your car that are ready to exchange in case they tell you they need the remaining rolls for their 'business' customers. That way they will not have an excuse to sell you what they have.
Finally finished searching through the box of nickels and here's the breakdown 5 BU rolls of 1941 d nickels,4 rolls liberty head,3+ rolls of buffalo nickels 2 rolls of 1939 d nickels and 1942 D RPM.
Wow...those are a great find! I'm very jealous. The rolls of 41-Ds and 39-Ds alone could probably net you upwards of $2,200.
Hey guys a quick update on my quest to get the rest of those paper wrapped nickels from this bank.I went back to that bank two days in a row and the bank teller that had the rest of those coins was off,the third day they told me she was on vacation until after xmas.The teller kept some 12 or 13 rolls of nickels for reserve reasons and most of those had the 2 holes in the coin roll like those on my first post.(1941 D Nickels)
