1941/1952 nickelsWhat are they worth?

    I found one of each while sorting through my changs.They are in good condition and was surprised to find them.Also have several quartes from early sixties.Not sure if worth anything other than a quarter.

    Hi Carolynne, and welcome to the forum.

    Unless your nickles are in extraordinarily high condition - brilliant uncirculated with virtually flawless fields and design elements, they are worth 5¢ each.

    If "early sixties" means 1964 or earlier, your quarters each contain about $1.25 worth of silver at today's bullion price, but again unless they are superb examples, they have no numismatic premium over their bullion content.

    Good answer on the quarter silver value and the numismatic values. The "silver war nickels" will probably have a silver content value at somewhere over face, but I don't have the silver content of these nickels to work out a value.

    They have .05626 oz. of silver, so the bullion value is around 42¢.
