I built a fixture for taking pictures with my phone. The biggest issue with the phone is that the focus is not consistent, so I have to lock the focus and then adjust the height of the coin. I tried building it with a simple slip collar but it still needs fine tuning. So it will have a threaded collar at some point, but I would have to say these are the best pics Ive taken yet, hopefully when the fixture is modified, it will be easier to use.

Those are really good images for a phone.

The phone I have is a HTC DNA, and yes, pics of the rig will come soon, after I paint it and make it look presentable

By the way, the close ups are just a full zoom. I didnt use a loupe. And as far as the camera settings, im setting it to macro, fluorescent lighting and the ISO is set at 400. Im still trying to figure out the ISO for certain coins, and Im not knowledgable on what setting to use, but it has to do with the amount of lighting. The lower the ISO setting, the more light is required. And 400 is the highest setting on my phone, and since Im trying to use a little lighting as possible, Im trying combinations around that.
