Yes. It looks like someone, for some odd reason, gold-plated a heavily worn, common date Wheat Cent. As for the reason(s) why; We may never know. Haha! -Brian
My first guess was a charm bracelet coin, but the rims look intact, so I'll go with high school plating experiment! Value...$.03 for copper. Value on ebay...$150.00 for rare panache error!
