Hello this coin has so many different issues between what looked like Machine doubling all over reverse to plating damage on the obverse. What also looks weird is the horseshoe type ring on front and back. I am a little confused on that issue. What do you guys think a die clash, just a poor attempt at cleaning or something else. Thanks in advance for your help. 17314174214152.jpg 1731417431180.jpg

It looks like die deterioration to me.

Are you saying that weird looking horse shoe shape is from die deterioration? That is the main thing I am trying to figure out. Thanks

Ummmmm.........yeeeeees! And, the part that looks like it is somewhat smeared is not because the coin took off at warp speed like NCC-1701.;)

    :)
Could it be from full impulse speed W/O inertia dampeners on ? Or a Romulan counterfeit ? ;)

Lamination , orange peeling from a over worked die, so basically die deterioration on a platchet that has lamination issues.
