OK I have a 1940 nickle that I believe has a mint mark on the obverse. Is this possible? The mint mark is in the exact location that is should be it just on the wrong side. It appears to be a D. I know I need to take a pic of it and sumit it but my cam isnt that good I just tried about fifty pics and none came out, I guess my question for now is. Is this possible?

Yep anything is possible. A picture sure would be nice to determine what it is.

The only thing possible is a clashed die.

    Could it be a 1990 D?
