Hi, I have this 1939 Switzerland Confederation (Confœderatio Helvetica) 5 Franc commemorative of the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Laupen. Despite it being kind of cleaned with something abrasive, it seems to be something of a scarce coin. There is only one listing in eBay's history with an uncompleted price of $595. All the international sales listings I've seen of the coin [1] list it in AU condition for about 200+ euros or on the Canada eBay site for C$280. I want to sell this coin, the trouble seems to be in selling it in a place where the right people would be interested. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks! I would just put it up on ebay and let it go at that. But I would not expect anywhere near the realized prices you list. The coin you picture has been very harshly cleaned and is damaged on top of that. I would guess that you could expect anywhere from 20% - 50% of normal.
Of course, that's why I said those prices were for very good examples. I suppose I'll just put it on eBay then and see what happens. Thanks.
