fuzzy pic of a normal coin..... To get true educated opinions of varietys here, you will need to sharpen up those pics a little. Search this forum for help, there are many threads on macro help. Welcome by the way !
Could be something or nothing. Depending on if it was damaged. The first 9 looks interesting to me. But the image needs help. There is a class 6 doubled die from that year that looks close to this one. But better images might help. There is doubling on other devices of the obverse. If your coin is only wider the on the first 9 and no where else, then it could be damage. The clarity of the image would help. http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1939&die_id=1939p1do003&die_state=mds
Welcome gavens82 to the forum :hail: Hey coop just drove past Phoenix yesterday and am now in Tucson. Nice weather here.
. I looked at the link you posted (coop) and thanks..it may very well be that...there is thicker letters but i dont know what is up with the B in liberty. it appears that all the numbers EXCEPT the last 9 are thick.
Rockdude: I've shut off the heat for several days and turned on the A/C. It finally kicked in about 4:00PM. The house took that long to warm up. It was 55 degrees when I went to work at 3:00AM. It is the best month or two for the year now. Just a short while and the heat will blast us again. My Son Lives in Tucson. Very interesting area to see historical sites.
