1939 Jefferson Nickel--Doubled Monticello

    One of the classic die varieties of the Jefferson Nickel series. It is my opinion that no Jefferson Nickel collection is complete without one. I present my newest acquisition, a gem state 1939 DDR NGC MS65. Enjoy!

    In MS65 the coin has a population of 63/45.

    What no color other than blast white. I guess that double Monticello will make up for it. Nice coin.

    Well, if I could find a rainbow toned gem state Jefferson Nickel die variety, I would buy it up in a heartbeat. Oh wait, think I got one lying around here somewhere.

    A question. Nice coin. How come its not and error? I thought doubled dies where errors?

    Doubled Dies are known as Mint Varieties
