BenjyH, I do not see the toning at all. If there is any it may not be anything significant to get excited about. The walker is very much worn, G4 at best IMHO. But being 70yrs old, as I am too, it is a nice momento coin to keep and for silver value too. Now if it was a 1938-D.........
I think the glare in the last photo might be blocking what he is talking about. I see some around LIBERTY and the head. Benjy, when coins are well worn, about the only areas that can produce any type of toning besides one color like gold, grey,etc, is a protected area where some of the flow lines are still there. The flow lines enhance the visual process and makes for "rainbow" type of toning. That is why be suspicious when rainbow toning occurs across a coin that is below AU in wear ( flow lines worn down), any should be near the inside rim where flow lines are better protected. IMO. Jim
