Please give me your thoughts on this Jefferson. The color in the photo is very close to the actual coin. Grade? Worth?

Looks like a nice AU. Worth $3-5 IMO.

Wasn't the 39 D the lowest mintage of any of the Jeffersons?

There's no way I'd let that go for a fin. Randy, you want to describe that obverse toning as having shades of "seaweed green." That gets you a sawbuck, at least. I don't think it has "periwinkle," necessarily, but it might have a touch of it. If it does, say that, too, and make that a double-sawbuck...at least. :)

While I agree with the coin being XF-AU. Value is a little higher than stated. At least here in Michigan it is. This coin would bring 12-15 bucks easy. It has a mintage of 3,514,000 compared to the 1950D at 2,530,030. Hope this helps.

I agree with Jim - that coin could, in the rigth market, bring around $12-$15.
