:thumb:Wow that's a great garage sale find .I go to a lot of them up here I just recently went to one i looked through a whitman folder it had about eight wheaties in it no luck. I will continue to search i go nearly ever weekend.I would advise you to zoom in on the mintmark look at the upper far right north east looks like a third mint mark, check it out it may be a triple Jazzcoins Joe:whistle:
Where I live they go to about the end of Dec , and then it twindles out, startes up again in March. I just don't hunt for coins Jello I go for Jazz vinyl records, and antiques also. I have a hard time usually finding people that have coins. When you ask them they look at you strange sometimes .Why is he asking me for coins i will not part with them. I no there thinking that in there little minds ( some of them anyway ). Jazzcoins Joe:whistle:
It does look like a large S on top of a large S on top of a small S. Like the first restamp was a larger S than the first and then they later restamped it with the same size but didn't get it centered quite right. :kewl: Sweet RPM! :thumb: Ribbit
Then take a pic from N-E-S-W angles to see if the different angles will help it to show up any better? :kewl: That's what I always do to get the best picture of any doubling. Ribbit
No I don't mean zoom in it with the camera Jello. I mean look at your picture now on coin talk, go to you borwser on your computer, click on page, and then click on zoom select the magnification ,and then zoom in. Jazzcoins Joe:whistle:
Hard to tell. It may just be one over another and not a triple recut/restamp. Thanks for the extra pics! :thumb: Ribbit
Check out the black ,and white photo it looks like three there. Could you zoom in with your computer toad. Jazzcoins Joe:whistle:
I see what you see but the pic that should have shown it, is the one with the glare coming off the MM and the glare is exactly where the middle doubling would be so until he can take a shot from that angle and a direct overhead shot, without glare, I cannot confirm it. Ribbit Ps: The one with the glare says it isn't, since the glare is too perfect (aka: coming from smooth surface).
