1938 Philadelphia Jefferson nickel

Greetings, this was in Pocket change that I throw in a can after store visits. Might have been sitting there a couple months. This replaced the buffalo nickel and 1938 was the first year for the Jefferson nickel. The only error I found was on variety Vista and that was a bar crack if I remember correctly. Well I don't see that but the date looks a little funky. How much could this be worth? I believe it is a semi key date. Anything else you can tell me would be most appreciated

The Redbook says the nickel is worth 60 cents in VF condition. Is it in VF condition?

 

Worth a nickel but it's always cool to find a 85-year-old coin in circulation.

 

Anything minted before me (1959) is a keeper…. Cool pocket change find.

 

You always keep the first year.
