Let me know what you think, then I will let you know what PCGS thought. also, just curious what you guys think its worth.
The pictures need to be much better, but I'll say MS-65. I can't see the mint mark, but I don't see any problems. Very nice coin. $75.00 maybe.
Yeah, i know this is my first attempt at pics. Gotta work on it. Anyways I will p[oast exact grade in the morning or perhaps late tonight. Let some others try their luck Ryan
Although I can see a few issues that would make believe that it should be graded as a MS-65, there are reasons why I believe that it might have actually received a MS-66 grade! If anything above that, then I believe that it was overgraded but I could be wrong. I am not good a recognizing TPG holders but am intrigued to find out the TPG that graded it and what grade they gave it. Frank
Ok Drumroll plz....................MS-64 I got a chance to cherrypick this from a dealer who had bought an entire bank roll of 38 D/Ds. He had prob 25 64's and 10 65's and the rest were hidden back. I think he gave me a steal at $40. I am defintely going back as a permanent customer. On a side note, he told me that JJ Stanton (sp?) is going to be there this weekend and may become a permanent addition to the team. This guy had INCREDIBLE coins in stock. I wil keep you all updated on what I buy. Ryan
Like jack, I believe that the grade should be MS-65 as the details on the Buffalo are totally awesome! Not knowing the TPG, I could have seen where another TPG besides PCGS may have given it an overgrade of MS-66. I may be wrong but the grade of MS-64 by PCGS continues to confirm that they are becoming very conservative and shying away from any possible overgrade that could effect them financially. Frank
I completely agree, but i am happy b/c it made it alot cheaper for me. Went back today and picked up a 32D, S washington, 1877 AG IHC and a ton of barbers to fill some holes. Blew a ton of my spare cash lol. Guy had great prices and was very helpful. Not what I expected from such a huge dealer. also, got to meet JT Stanton (I think that is his name). Anyways the Cherrypickers guide guy. He is going to get me a signed proof copy of his book. Thats really cool in my opinion. anyways I will be taking more pics of my collection so I will post them soon. Ryan
