so my birthday was on Tuesday. i just turned 16 and my grandma found a bill. that she does not no how she got it. just that she wrote her name on it when she was a kid. it is a crisp 1938 Canadian dollar. the only thing wrong with it is that my grandma singed it. is it worth a lot of money like 100-200USD? if not then i will write my name on it and pass it on like she is doing to me.
Would love to see a photo of when you do. Here's the Bank of Canada Currency site, will show you the different series issued (no values listed) http://www.currencymuseum.ca/national-currency-collection/past-series-bank-canada-notes/ For the 1937 Series & I know value is partially based on who's signatures are on the bill; not sure if your Grandma's signature would be too appealing to collectors though..... I think the 'coins and canada' website list values for Canadian bank notes but not sure how up to date it might be.
Not my area, but ask again after you can post of photo of, I'm sure some the more experienced collectors will chime in.
