1937 wheat penny ...I came across this penny today in a old roll I had and it has a couple yellow lines on the obverse and on the reverse it looks like it has a lot going on I don't think it's a strike through grease error but I'm really not sure if it's a strike thru or whether it struck over or it's just because of being old and damage.....but it looks outward to me especially on the reverse.... All thoughts on this coin.....
The lines are from Improper Alloy Mix error. These are known as woodies, due to a wood-grain effect in the coloring of the coin. https://www.error-ref.com/improper-alloy-mix/
Whatever a collector of such an issue is willing to pay for it. Not much for your Cent with the circulation damage.
Didn’t take you long to get around to that question. Oh lol. But this isn’t the type of error you keep for value, and a lot of coin errors fit into that category.
