    Multi-strike? Struck Through? or just extreme die wear?

    It looks like the coin was dipped in something corrosive. The right side wasn't exposed.

    Thanks! I just don't understand how that would cause the doubling/tripling effect like on your "One" or on the top of my left wheat ear. Did you get more of an explanation?

    No I did not, But I did try to recreate this effect and I had some success.

    Looks to be a chemical reaction of some sort. Maybe heat. Very cool looking coin. I like it

    Try a very hot flame gas torch from an angle.
