1937 buffalo nickel. would like your thoughts on this I'm not quite sure. fake? proof?

Looks genuine but polished to me.

 

First, there's no reason to post the same photos over and over again. It is especially insulting to those using mobile devices.

That said, I agree with the previous gentleman in that it's simply a very common genuine coin that has been polished. As for value, any premium over face would be at best, very minimal.

 

Proof coins have a deeper dish to the fields. The coin is missing a lot of detail, thus it is a worn, polished coin. probably worth about 20-35 cents.

Genuine, well circulated five cents that has been polished.

 

My thoughts on it were the same. I couldn't find much material to confirm.

No reason to counterfeit a 25 cent coin.
The 1937-D three legged Buffalo probably has more fakes than real coins.

 

I'm not sure why it happened, but thank you for taking the time to clarify. Just so you know, day in and out we have people who will post the same photo/photos again and again and again, and is the reason for my earlier post; I certainly wasn't trying to single you out.
