I was wondering for any information about this coin. I cannot find anything useful. Is this an error? Thanks!

Hi Lauren! Good to see a fellow Arkansan here! This was brought up on a recent thread...so with apologies to "rlm's cents"...heres a little plagarism.

Here is the whole thread: http://www.cointalk.com/t121897/

They can carry a slighly higher peremium to specialty collectors in high grades, yours is very well circulated, but it does have a little value.

Nice woody. 3 Razorbacks in a row, but I'm in WV now though...

The official term for this error is "improper alloy mix". The copper, tin, and zinc were not sufficiently mixed together. Some of these coins also have an excess amount of tin or zinc.

Awesome. The weather has been beautiful hasn't it? What would you estimate the value at? Thanks for all the help.

Loving the weather, definitely! Value is approximately .20 - .25 in my opinion. Photos look like net grade is a little better than Good. Happy to help! :)

Surprisingly to me, anyway, most of the time it actually decreases the value of the coin.
