    Might be that they used MS Paint to enlarge the image and the dot is their cursor.

    I think I see the raised lump that the poster is referring to, but I wonder if they’ve ever seen the 1936 dot cent...

    I see the dot .
    But couldn't match the inside of the upper loop of the " 9 " to this known example ..

    Have to admit it is one of the best candidates I've ever seen, but I don't think it is in quite the right position. But it's close. It would be interesting to see an overlay to check the positioning.

    Left to right looks close. Up and down, looks a bit high. Hope it's the real deal.

    The position lines up with the edge of the 3, but I am not sure about the symmetry of the dot. It doesn't seem as circular as it should be.

    I was thinking about a Canadian 1936 with a dot under the date.

    First thing I do is check the characteristics of the date .

    And I can't match it up .
