1936 D arkansas centennial

    i dont really do commemoratives but some of the older ones ive seen at shops and this site really impressed me with the designs and such so i decided to get one. this cost me 100 but i was also selling some silver so you could call it more of a trade. any comments/opinions appreciated.

    Low mintage on this issue (9660). Looks like you got a nice one......:smile

    yea i didnt realize how low the mintages were on that date/mm when i looked into them a little more. the guy had a bunch of stone mountain also but the arkansas stood out to me.

    Yeh, the early commemoratives often have a very pleasing design.
    They are not high on my priority list but I'll buy one occasionally when I can't find my high priority stuff but the money is burning a hole in my pocket.

    As for yours, the dull surfaces and what appears to be wear on the eagle's chest would cause me to grade it AU. And no significant marks.
    If I'm right then the price you paid was quite fair (slightly below full retail).
